About

Biology is the study of life from microbial to human, within all environments, and across all time-scales.  Biology includes many facets that impact human welfare including medicine, agriculture, biotechnology, biological diversity, environmental stewardship, and even support of prolonged space exploration!

The Biology Major at the University of Florida is administrated by an executive committee with members from the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.  The committee created seven tracks within the major drawing from a wealth of life science courses within 17 academic departments.  Biology majors at the University of Florida truly have access to a diverse group of faculty-scholars.  The Biology Major Office is administered by an Assistant Director and Staff Assistant under the direction of the Biology Major Executive Committee.
