Advisor with student

Academic advisement at the University of Florida is a high priority. UF is committed to providing resources to enhance and assist the undergraduate experience.  Biology majors have access to academic advisement and career placement professionals who are committed to providing superior professional service to students.

Students meet their adviser soon after arriving at UF for their first semester and before registering for classes for the next term. Advisers help you plan your academic program of study, explore the major and its tracks, and develop your career goals. Advisers work closely with the Biology Major Executive Committee in the development, revision and implementation of curricula and policies.

Under most conditions your academic adviser is the first person to contact regarding your progress and planned coursework within the major. To facilitate your success your adviser may refer you to the Biology Major Undergraduate Coordinator or other university resources.
