If you’re switching into the Biology Major, you can book an appointment with the Biology Major Office here. If you’re switching out of the Biology Major, you’ll need to book an appointment with department you want to switch into.
If you want to add a second major that is the same degree type (B.A. or B.S.) and within the same college, use the Multiple Majors within a College Application.
If the second major is a different degree type or in a different college, use the Dual Degree Application.
You may need to meet with departmental and college advisors to determine eligibility. To verify that you meet the 15-credit uniqueness requirement for each major, use the Major Exclusivity Form. This form must be signed in the following order:
1. Departmental advisor for the requested major
2. Departmental advisor for your current major
3. College advising office

Taking a course outside of UF when you are a UF student is referred to as transient study. Acceptance of transient courses is at the discretion of the department and college hosting the major.Some majors and colleges do not accept transient coursework for critical tracking, foundational, or core courses.Learn more about policies and procedures on the CLAS Transient Study page.
