The Pre-Professional Track in the Biology Major

For Biology majors seeking admission to medical, dental, optometry or veterinary school. Students may enroll in this track from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (BIO designation) or the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (BLY designation). The curricula for the BIO (CLAS) and BLY (CALS) pre-professional tracks differ from each other in GE and language requirements, but the science course requirements are identical. See the advising page for help on locating the appropriate advising office for your college. All pre-professional students should also contact the Office of Health and Legal Professions Advising for help in building a strong background in preparation for applying to professional programs.
